So, I am looking at various X-men cartoons, typical early morning kinda thing, yes? And, I come across this one video of the adult variety featuring a cartoon Wolverine and a cartoon Rogue doing very adult-oriented things to each other. I don't typically go for that kinda thing,..cartoon or no....(typically), but, I mean come on....it's X-men....I kinda had to watch it, especially after seeing the tons of geeks critiquing it in the comment section (which made it seem hilarious!). Well,
So now I have a bajillion questions.
#1: Why would Wolverine howl like a wolf? Didn't seem right.
#2 I'm left wondering when this is......cause at certain points, she couldn't very well do that with anyone.
I haven't read the X-men comics since I was a kid....but I don't think it was at the point when she was body-snatched sorta by the absorbed Carol-what's-her-face....who was able to touch people with no ill effects on their part, with Rogue's body. (I think there was another one as well who could do that??)
I know there was one point where Wolverine told Rogue he had the hots for her, they played tonsil hockey for a bit until her powers started to whoop up on him, and they had to stop. Couldn't have been at that point because she wasn't in full control of her powers yet.
So, it had to be at the point where she could contain them and turn them on and off at will. But, at that point....really, almost always....she had the hots for Gambit and was with him.
So....what I really left feeling having watched that, is that they should at least make geek....adult-oriented stuff.....more accurate................................................or, Rogue is a bit of a cheating skank.
And also, even if she could contain them.....Wow, what concentration! Seems like there goes half the fun.
What do you think? Could it be possible (I mean, if it weren't a cartoon, and were...(imagination sequence go!)....real? I admit, my X-men inner database has moths flying around the empty filing drawers, (i.e. it's been years since I read any Xmen comics), and I might need a little edu-ma-ca-shun on the subject of Rogue. (All ears!)
(My day to days are getting weirder and weirder)

Rogue has never had control over her powers. Even in other realities she needed someone like Magneto to cancel out her powers enough so that she could touch someone. She also has problems not taking on the personlality traits of people who she makes contact with with. Her powers are among the most unreliable amongst mutants.
ReplyDeleteWow, thanks for the info. I don't know why, but I was sure that she was eventually able to do so. I stand corrected!
