On Five for Friday, five questions are posed which are to be answered (by moi, et vous! Should you choose to, of course). They're kinda random....(but so am I!)
1) Do you miss anyone right now?
Right now, as in this very moment, no...not really. But in general, yes. I miss two female friends who were killed by their boyfriends, one especially because we had unresolved issues and a lot of things that needed to be said, but now never will....I miss Byrd, who used to keep me in stitches until he moved off...and Chico, where the h-e-double-hockey-sticks did you go to??
2) If you could move somewhere else, would you?
Yes, I do not like it here in the South. I can't find anyone like me, with the same interests... it's way too hot all the time, there are too many tornadoes and hurricanes, and the mosquitoes are big enough to carry ticks on their backs. (that last bit was an exaggeration, but still....) There is a good hunk of me that is distinctly Southern, but....I just do not fit in here, for the most part.
3) Do you have any friends that you've known for 10 years or more?
Yeah..lol. The majority of my friends were already grown men when I was born. Have known them literally my whole life.
4) Did you watch cartoons as a child?
Cartoons, yes, and I still do. Matter of fact, I am watching Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes, right now. But, I'm kinda just waiting until Aqua Teen Hunger Force comes on.....
Oh, and I watch way too much anime.
Back then, it was stuff like He-man (with She-ra!), Thundercats, Transformers, Ninja Turtles, Muppet Babies, Ewoks, Thundarr, Voltron, and the Thunderbirds. (Wondering if any of those are on DVD...would love to see them again!) Obviously, I was an 80's kid.
5) Do you care what people think of you?
Well, I know we're not supposed to and all, but....well, yeah, of course. I mean, I wouldn't want anyone thinking anything bad about me, assuming something that isn't. If they do not like me, that is fine and I do not fret over that.....but, yeah, I think I'm a pretty decent person, and I'd be bothered if anyone around me thought otherwise.
And so there you have it, the five for this Friday. If you want to answer any or all on your own blog, or here in the comment section....feel free. It's always fun to see what others would say.
1, I miss my old man alot. The hand of God reached out and scooped him off the face of planet earth. He knew he was finished and told me so but met his end bravely like a Klingon.
ReplyDelete2, No I wouldn't move but I'd prefer to live in a house made from solid bricks. Appartments...Sheeze say no more.
3, Yes and No. I've lost touch with all my "old" school friends. But I knew some mad characters back then. There was one guy, Marco, he used to stick his head out the bus window going home and hoot!!!! yelling like a crazy wild animal. It was shocking carry on but I could never convince him to belt up! LOL, God, I'd nearly forgotten that one.
4,Growing up I used to watch my pal road runner, the music was good and cheered me up.
5,I believe you get what you give in this life. If someone thinks badly of you, to quote our friend captain Kirk, "Well Double Dumb as- on you!"
Mosquitos with ticks LOL. Great visual.
ReplyDelete2. Hawaii. Island fever here I come.
3. I know people for a long time but I wouldn't call them friends.
4. I used to live in front of the tv on saturday mornings. Thunder? Classic.
5. Anyone that says they don't care what people think is lying.
Hi April, this message is terribly overdue, but I wanted to THANK YOU for the Stylish Blogger Award you gave me!!! For some reason your comment was sorted into Spam! :s
ReplyDeleteSo - thank ou very, very much. When I finally found it, it absolutely made my day!!
Also, I love the South and have always wanted to live there lol. I loved the Muppet Babies cartoon too.
Great answers.
ReplyDeleteI didn't like the South either, but wow it sure was warmer! And as for your answer to number 5 in a moment of true honesty I think everyone would have to admit that what other ppl think of them, acceptance matters.
