My Review:

Not By Chance: God's "Coincidental" Guidance in My Life chronicles the challenges that have risen in the author's life, and how God has lit the paths she should travel throughout her trials and tribulations.

Lynn Cochrane Leonard has faced many challenges, such as polio, multiple sclerosis, ankylosing spondylitis, unemployment, depression, separation from her children, and fires, and yet her faith hasn't wavered. God has sent a series of "coincidences" with each of her challenges that help her see which path He means for her to take. As a result of His guidance, she has been lifted up out of some of her darkest times.

Her entries have made me look back on my own life, and acknowledge that there were many times that, despite the astounding odds, a circumstance or a person has shown up out of the blue and caused me to travel in a new, and better, direction. I used to chalk it up to "happy circumstances" but Ms. Leonard has helped me see that perhaps it was God's loving hand that was leading me.

The book is easy to read in that the author has a way of drawing the reader in as she tells of events such as her beloved collie, Lassie's, accident, or the night she and her friend were rescued from a fire by such miraculous circumstances. Her additional entries of Biblical verses, as well as her own poetry were such a wonderful enhancement to her inspiring story.

Not By Chance will uplift the Christian reader, and open one's eyes to their own "Coincidental" guidance from God.
